General Randy George

General Randy George is the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, serving as the second-ranking military officer in the United States Army and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As Vice Chief of Staff, General George assists the Chief of Staff in managing the Army and serves as the acting Chief of Staff in his absence. He is responsible for the overall readiness and effectiveness of the Army's forces.

General George is a career Infantry officer with extensive command experience at all levels. His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College.

Throughout his distinguished military career, General George has served in numerous leadership positions across the United States and around the world. He has deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan, where he led combat operations and mentored junior leaders.

General George holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Studies from the Army War College. His military decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal and numerous other honors recognizing his service and leadership.

He is married and has two children. General George is committed to ensuring the Army remains ready to defend the nation and to developing the next generation of Army leaders.
